Need some TLC for your leisure vehicle? Our friendly team at Ropers Leisure Workshop has got you covered! From gas and electrics to all the little fittings, we’ve got the skills and experience to keep your caravan, motorhome and campervan in tip-top shape. We’re fully qualified, AWS workshop and ready to help. We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 5:00, and Saturdays 9:00 – 12:00. Sundays are for a well-earned rest, our team deserves it.
Throughly inspected
As part of your Approved Caravan Service, the vehicle will be thoroughly inspected to ensure that it has a clean bill of health. All parts of the chassis are inspected. This includes the hitch head and breakaway cable, jockey wheel and corner steadies plus the structural integrity. Handbrake, suspension and shock absorbers are all part of this too. The tyres (and pressures) will also be checked and the brakes will receive a thorough inspection and clean.
The gas and water tests are designed to find possible leaks in the system. The taps, microswitches or pressure switches, and water pumps are checked. The cooking appliances and fridge are tested. The electric systems are inspected, both 12V and mains, including the battery and smoke alarm. All the internal hinges and fittings are checked as well as all the external locks, hinges, windows and seals.
At Ropers Leisure, our full damp and moisture test helps give you peace of mind that your caravan or motorhome is in great condition. Using professional moisture meters and non-invasive scanners, we check for hidden water ingress and carefully inspect key areas like window and door seals, roof lights and fittings. You’ll receive a clear report with your moisture readings and friendly advice, and we recommend this check annually to help protect your warranty and keep you touring with confidence.
Stored water systems can develop bacteria and build-ups over time. This can cause the water to smell or taste funny, and may damage the caravan (or your health) in the long term. Why not let us clean and sterilise your water system for you? You’ll know the water you’re getting through your plumbing is clean and fresh, and it saves you doing it yourself!
